WD615, 618 series diesel engine is an up-to date product of high speed diesel engine which is introduced by WeiChai Power from Steyr-Daimler-Puch Company of Austria in 1984. It has three air intake methods: natural aspirated, turbo-charged and turbocharged intercooled. Its emission can meet the standard of Euro II. Its power covers from 110KVA to 293.8KVA. For different frequency like 50Hz and 60Hz generating sets, there are different spinning rate and are 1500r/ min and 1800r/ min respectively.
